Brent has been involved in camping for 16 years, beginning as a counselor for the French Broad Baptist Association summer camp, and as youth group leader at Grapevine Baptist Church in Mars Hill, NC.  After leading camps and retreats for the youth group at Grapevine Baptist, he felt called to begin Eagle Wing Christian Camp in 1998 and now serves as Founder and Executive Director.  During the school year, Brent is Assistant Principal at Mars Hill Elementary School.

 

Brent lives in his native Madison County and has three pets, a cat named Ozzy, a cat named Midnight, and a dog named Chloe.  He holds a BS in Mathematics from Mars Hill College and a M.Ed. in Education Leadership from East Tennessee State University and is currently pursuing his Ed.D. in Education Leadership from ETSU.  Brent has served as secretary for the Carolinas/Virginias Section of the Christian Camp and Conference Association and is on the Advisory Board for Madison County Parks and Recreation.  He attends and is a member of Biltmore Baptist Church where he is a member of the Exalt Worship Choir.

Kendra Arrowood has been working with Eagle Wing Christian Camp since the summer of 2005.  She currently serves as the Director of Programming.  Kendra works during the school year as a Fifth grade teacher.  She attended both Mars Hill College and Appalachian State University.  She holds a BA in Religion and holds a current teaching certificate in Elementary Education and AIG. Kendra attends and is a member of Biltmore Baptist Church.
